Check out Björn Hartweger in the new PirateLog: It’s about two very different sessions in the Austrian Alps. On the one hand hand made quarter pipes are fun for sure, but air time is more likely to be found in a machine made park like the one in Sölden! Either way it’s about how you ride it…
It’s already been a gossip for a while, now it’s official: Alex Tank joins the Zimtstern Snowboard International Team.
Alex Tank’s home is where there is something to jib, whether a park or a city spot, whether at home in Germany, in Switzerland or somewhere around the world. He has already landed his break-through in the movie scene, opening up the newest Isenseven Movie “Don’t Panic“ with his part. Not just with Isenseven he is active in front of and behind the camera, check out atagge.com. Watch Alex shredding and you will see that Snowboarding is his true passion. Alex Schiller from Isenseven shares this opinion:
„Filming and travelling with Alex Tank is something special. He’s got his distinctive style and I’d call him Europe’s best and cleanest rail rider. He looks at spots from his own point of view and every bump, every pole and every hill leads to a cool trick. I don’t know anyone loving snowboarding as much as he does. He brings in a huge portion of motivation and the crew never has to worry that Alex might not feel like shooting. On our trip to the Camp of Champions in Whistler he didn’t miss out one single day on the snowboard within 4 weeks. I can’t imagin making a movie without him anymore, he became one of my favorite riders!“
Welcome to the Zimtstern Snowboard International Team, Alex Tank!
What a sick battle! The riders at the Junior Open in Laax had to deal with heavy weather conditions: Strong winds made the halfpipe super icy and on top of that fog showed up on Sunday. Don’t worry, the young bloods didn’t give-up and perfomed at their best.
We are stoked on the results of the Zimtstern Snowboard Team:
Our Austrian style master Clemens Schattschneider was third in the U20 category and
Linus Birkendahl was faced with his strongest rivals: Tim-Kevin Ravnjak and David Hablützel in the U16-category. After an incredibly impressive run he won the quali. In the finals he was third behind the Swiss and the Slovenian
.
For the women there was no age limit and so Helene Nadig could proof her skills in the field of the young girls. She was 2nd in the women’s elite category.
It wasn’t only freezing cold in the mountain areas but also in berlin @ the Zimtstern bowl area last weekend. And don’t think that area is heated well. So imagine the temperature must have been somewhere arount 0° in there… Well but seems like the guys had a sick session, still!
The Zimtstern Team just came back from Laax. They have been living like kings and queens at the rocks resort and working on their modelling skills one more time, shooting the FW1112 stuff. Except for this little preview you will see the pictures in lookbooks, catalogues, on flyers, websites and in magazines next automn.
