Wildlife!
Finally arrived in Cooke city and we allready checked the terrain with the sleds. Looks good! We are staying right at the Yellowstone national park, so it’s wild out here!
Beautifull landscapes all over the place…
Howzee looks scared…
…that’s why he prepared himself with a knife, in case he has to defend himself from a bigass grizzly bear!
Cowboy style
Bisons everywhere. They are even chilling on the road.
This guy almost had his head in our car window!

FAR EAST
It´s time to hunt the snow again…this time it takes us to Japan.
It has been a few years ago since Hans and me have been here. so not just the better snow conditions,
also the good memories that come along with Japan, made a quick decision easy!
We straight flew to Sapporo Hokkaido and from there on we continued our trip with the rental car to the skiresort!
The sun was shining, we had really good weather, but with the nice weather it also got really warm. We would really need a big reset, so we can do what we came for…..
to shred up the pow!!

it´s nice with sunsets like that, but right know we would prefer some snow filled clouds on the horizon!!
to be continued……arrrrr

Heading to Cooke city
As the snowconditions in europe really suck, we decided to go to Cooke city to catch some powder. It’s in the middle of nowhere and the journey has been sooooo (2 days already) long so far but we still didn’t arrive there….
Always good to get things started….
Waiting…
I was so stoked to fly with swiss! Best airline, swiss quality!
bye alps…
more waiting…
Chicago airport
We just got a small rental car (they run out of bigass trucks), so DBK, Tobi and me had to go by bus instead. What a bummer, Tobi almost crying!
I wish that was true….
Right now we stranded in a small and strange ghosttown. Luckily found this bar where we are waiting for Howzee to pick us up – hopefully! We feel kinda lost…

China recap
I was in China for the Nanshan Open. Unfortunately the competition turned out pretty bad for me as i could not land my tricks, but still the whole week there was a blast and i’m so stoked i took the chance to visit this interesting country. Here are some pictures i took on the trip and developed in my darkroom…
Hmmmm…would my wife realise that this is a cheap one?
People are selling stuff at every corner….
Safety is very important to the chinese, also in driving…..nooot!
After partying, we had a nice sightseeing programm the next day. Including a visit to the impressive bird’s nest stadium.
Skiing in the middle of Beijing right beside the stadium. Pretty steep slope as you can see….
This is where the competition was held. Nanshan Ski resort from top. So weird! They even had a fake treerun with pillows and stuff to give you the ultimate “off-piste” feeling. What a bummer i forgot my backcountry gear!
The food there was just amazing. I think i had the 3 best dinners of my life on this trip!
End of January but still christmas decoration everywhere.
One of the chinese riders.
This guy was crazy! Nobody was able to stop him from rappin’, not even the organizer.
Marco Smolla having a nice swim in the dirty lake for the snowcanons which was always totally frozen in the mornings.
The chinese are crazy good when it comes to sell you stuff nobody needs.
For sure you want some good old “Müesli” right before having a walk on the great wall.
Visiting the great wall was just so impressive. It seemed so unreal to me.
