Zimtstern Snowboard Ambassador Reto Kestenholz swapped his snow- for a surfboard and went on a nice trip to France and Northern Spain for a month. Swell was good and there were waves to ride every day. His girlfriend took the beautiful pictures below.
Now Reto is back in Switzerland and on his snowboard again – he just went to Zermatt with his crew to celebrate the last warm days of the year in Zermatt. We hope he has lots of fun in the autumn sun!
Zimtstern Ambassador Renate Bickel just came back from a boat trip in Indonesia. She found a beautiful spot in West Sumatra with perfect waves, but unfortunately the exact coordinates are „top secret“, as Reni says. We are green with envy and already dreaming of our next surf trip when we are looking at these pictures.
Spring time is Surfing time. That we don’t have access to the sea in Switzerland doesn’t mean we Swiss don’t surf. Straight after the snowboard season everyone is off for Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Costa Rica, Hawaii to catch some waves.
So does Mirko Schadegg, Zimtstern Surf Ambassador. Every year April he switches from boots to thongs, from snowboard to surfboard. Exploring the Maldives for the past 10 years he is now on the hunt for some uncrowded pumpin’ waves in far Eastern Indo. By boat, of course! How else do you get to Sumba and East Timor?
Check out some shots of the Maledives and the first Indo-Previews below.

Siick, Zimtstern Ambassador Andrej Marincic got third @ the Ride Shakedown Rail Jam on Friday. Congrats!
Zimtstern Snowboard Teamrider Reto Kestenholz came to Garmisch too. Among all the young guns he (in his golden 30ies) proved being “still in the game“ and got 9th in the main competition. Check out more on germany.shakedown.ca.
