Late summer weather and the tricks shooting off like fireworks: The visitors of freestyle.ch 2011 were in a great mood for a good party and Zimtstern was celebrating freestyle.ch as if there were no tomorrow.
Friday night, Zimtstern invited to their headquarter for the VIP premiere of “Bottom Line“, Pirate Movie Production’s new film. Banger parts by Zimtstern teamriders Björn Hartweger and Hans Ahlund were served with a BBQ and chilled drinks. The ping pong table and live music by Jimi Hendrix’s reincarnation guaranteed a perfect start into the weekend.
Zimtstern teamrider Clemens Schattschneider had to leave the video premiere of his new film „Good Times Rollin’“ by Bamboo Motion Pictures Friday night in Vienna early and fly over to Zurich, as he was spontaneously offered one of the much sought-after wildcards. Unfortunately, Clemens’ lineout FS 360 stalefish and BS doublecork 1080 weren’t enough for the final.
Of course, Saturday’s party in the Zimtstern event tent wasn’t as chilled-out as the VIP premiere on Friday: The music was pumping, the drinks tasted excellent and the dance floor in the 300 square meter big tent just got madder an madder every hour. As last year, the more courageous could spin the wheel of fortune and face the mean ringmaster, who gave away some fine Zimtstern goodies – the price to pay was not always a small one and so we saw some shaved heads and naked guys on the podium. The mood was on fire after the give-away session and the party crowd was dancing to fine tunes by DJs Drifter & Mortensen, DJ Sid and Wax Wreckaz DJ Collective until the whole area was cleared.
After such a night out it’s always good to get active – so the wallride in the Zimtstern event tent as well as the Zimtstern miniramp on Saffa-Insel were more than welcome on Sunday. The contests were sick anyways and left some spectators with their mouths open. Zimtstern teamrider Clemens Schattschneider was also more than happy: „It was one of the sickest weekends of my life, even though I didn’t make it to the finals. The location right next to the lake was great, as was the audience, the atmosphere, all of it.“
In short: Cheers to everyone who was celebrating with us! We had a great time and are looking forward to the new winter season.
